Consortium of digital ecosystems for mathematics
April 1, 2025 – April 1, 2027
This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, is dedicated to the advancement of mathematical research through the development of high-quality sociotechnical infrastructure, including mathematics software, databases, documentation, communities, and more.
We work together to advance the creation, development, and maintenance of these digital products relied upon by mathematics researchers, educators, and learners. Our community empowers this work by sharing knowledge and best practices. We provide opportunities for professional development at all career stages, and particularly welcome and support new contributors.
We will launch with a virtual Grand Opening Symposium in September 2025, where we will host several presentations and tutorials facilitated by members of our community. These events will be of interest to both newcomers and experienced community members, and all are invited.
To get involved, visit us at code4math.org and join our public community Zulip chat.
This event will be run as an AIM-style workshop. Participants will be invited to suggest open problems and questions before the workshop begins, and these will be posted on the workshop website. These include specific problems on which there is hope of making some progress during the workshop, as well as more ambitious problems which may influence the future activity of the field. Lectures at the workshop will be focused on familiarizing the participants with the background material leading up to specific problems, and the schedule will include discussion and parallel working sessions.
